Meat Wrapper Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Meat Wrapper in our Melbourne-based operation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized previous night to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
  • Rework display cases and rotate product stock to ensure maximum visibility and appeal.
  • Transfer large trays of styro packaged meat from wheeled racks into automatic wrapping machines for efficient packaging.
  • Follow established safety and security procedures at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
  • Set labelers according to product type and price, print, and apply labels to products to ensure accurate identification.
  • Pack wrapped and labeled meat onto large trays using carts with sliding windows or movable racks, and store them in designated display cases.
  • Operate meat grinders as required to process meat products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the work area by cleaning and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
  • Perform tasks that comply with health code regulations, including maintaining proper temperatures and adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to members while performing duties.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must provide proof of right to work in Australia.
  • Must undergo pre-employment screening.
  • Must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindication certificate.
