Senior Privacy Leader

We are seeking a senior privacy professional to lead key strategic and operational activities within our organisation.
The successful candidate will drive a coordinated approach to privacy awareness, education, and compliance. They will work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver initiatives that foster an open public service culture and information policy settings that encourage open government and protection of personal information.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance privacy practices throughout the organisation.
- Provide timely, high-level strategic and authoritative advice on complex and emerging legislative and policy issues.
- Proactively identify, brief, and respond to complex issues arising from privacy breaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of privacy complaints and data breach notifications.
- Conduct reviews and audits of privacy compliance and good practice.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote good privacy practices including privacy by design.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of privacy principles and legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide timely and authoritative advice on complex and emerging legislative and policy issues.
