Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Activities: Undertake ICT procurement related activities, ensuring that orders, invoices, and goods receipts are processed in a timely manner, and in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
  • Purchasing Services: Deliver high-quality purchasing related services to clients and external stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and deliver high-quality customer-focused services.
  • Information Management: Provide information management support, including maintaining records and registers.
  • Financial Systems: Contribute to the administration and review of financial systems and procurement processes.
  • Business Improvement: Assist to identify and implement business improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and standards (including the Financial Management Practice Manual), Australian Accounting Standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Workplace Culture: Foster and role-model a work environment that values teamwork, customer service, performance, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the business unit.
  • Professional Development: Demonstrate commitment to contemporary standards of ethical practice, workplace safety, equity, and diversity.

Requirements

  • Hold a level 2 or higher Queensland Government Procurement Certification.
  • Be able to successfully attain certification within two months from commencement.
