We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team.

About the Role:

  • BAS - Quarterly.
  • PAYG - Monthly.
  • Superannuation lodgement - quarterly.
  • Payroll for 33 directly employed, timesheets get submitted currently to do this and approximately 15 labour hire - weekly.
  • Long Service Leave - quarterly.
  • Aged payables, reconcile supplier accounts - End of Month.
  • Aged receivables, debt collecting, statements to clients - Debtors.
  • End of week payments - Accounts payable.
  • Reimbursements for staff - weekly - Accounts payable.
  • Supplier invoice entry.
  • Colate for end of financial year for accountant to process - annual.
  • Payroll EOFY closing off - annual.
  • Payroll Tax which is quarterly.
  • Training incentives.
  • General dealings with the ATO.
  • Assist staff where needed.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Routine tasks.

About You:

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role - preferably in the electrical or blue collar industry.
  • Industry certification preferred but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Simpro and MS Excel.
