Program Coordinator Role Overview

The In2science eMentoring program coordinator role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the In2science initiative at La Trobe University.

This position involves managing the recruitment, training, and placement of university student eMentors while also fostering relationships with schools and working collaboratively with the In2science Program Manager and other coordinators across partner universities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and place university student eMentors to support academic achievement and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with schools to enhance the delivery of the In2science program.
  • Collaborate closely with the In2science Program Manager and other coordinators to ensure efficient program operations.
Requirements:
  • A degree and relevant experience or extensive experience in an administrative field are required for this position.
  • Proficiency in IT skills is essential for supporting the online mentoring environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for achieving program goals.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively are vital for this role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for documentation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others is essential for eMentor development.
  • Experience working in school and/or tertiary environments is highly valued.
