Financial Accounting Expert

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing complex bank reconciliations across multiple business units, working collaboratively with teams to improve and implement financial processes, ensuring accounting policies remain current and compliant with relevant standards, completing GL reconciliations with external systems for Health Services and Private Health Insurance, assisting with regulatory reporting obligations, administering the online banking platform and corporate credit card system, communicating with external bankers, and maintaining a shared inbox for banking and reconciliation-related queries.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare complex bank reconciliations
  • Improve and implement financial processes
  • E nsure accounting policies remain current and compliant
  • Complete GL reconciliations
  • Assist with regulatory reporting obligations
  • Administer the online banking platform
  • Communicate with external bankers
  • Maintain a shared inbox
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce
  • Membership (or near completion) with CAANZ or CPA Australia
  • Strong experience in financial accounting and reconciliations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
