Job Title: National Engineering Manager

At Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia, we are seeking a seasoned engineering professional with expertise in the construction and mining equipment sector to fill the role of National Engineering Manager. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical expertise across operations to ensure seamless delivery of approved engineering solutions nationwide.
  • Develop and maintain strategic engineering stewardship frameworks, emphasizing compliance with legislative and material risk obligations.
  • Provide technical support to business leaders in managing material risks and optimizing equipment performance.
  • Analyze project deliverables, reviewing and recommending improvements to enhance business effectiveness.
  • Communicate relevant knowledge on current technical challenges impacting regional operations through regular stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee periodic technical audits in collaboration with operations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish a network of internal and external engineering expertise to identify value-adding technologies and facilitate their introduction.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile equipment legislation within the construction and mining sectors.
  • Proven experience in mobile mining and construction equipment design, assembly, and application.
  • Strong understanding of international and industry standards for design and maintenance.
  • Able to influence and lead effectively at all levels of the organization, navigating cultural boundaries.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in mobile equipment engineering, offering personable and professional support.
  • Leadership experience in multi-disciplinary projects or operational environments.
