About The Opportunity

The Clinical Nurse Consultant plays a key role in supporting and advising nursing units managers and staff at Fairfield and Rosemeadow Community Health Centres. This position is responsible for ensuring program fidelity across both sites, recruiting and engaging clients, and promoting clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and support to nursing units managers and staff on clinical practice and program development
  • Ensure the fidelity of programs across both sites
  • Recruit and engage clients for the 2-year program
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of clinicians to promote clinical excellence
Requirements
  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience in Child and Family Health Nursing
  • Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to Child and Family Health Nursing or such other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the organisation
  • Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research in Child and Family Health Nursing
  • Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe, compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement in the workplace
Additional Requirements
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)
