Job Title: Disability Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Professional to join our team at Advantage Healthcare Support. As a Disability Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support services to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities
  • Assist with community access, including transportation to appointments and shopping
  • Offer social support and companionship
  • Prepare meals and assist with medication
  • Perform general domestic tasks

Requirements:

  • Manual handling skills
  • Experience with hoists and other assistive equipment
  • Knowledge of Parkinson's Disease, Centre Cord Syndrome, and Stroke
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Manual Handling certificate
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Valid Driver's License and comprehensive car insurance
