Job Title: Datacenter Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Planner

Microsoft's Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) team is seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Planner to join our Global Project Controls team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing integrated planning and schedule management services for large-scale datacenter construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for datacenter construction projects, including timelines and dependencies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project teams, General Contractors, and Redmond-based hub.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, and 10+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent understanding of Project Planning, Earned Value Management, and Key Commodity Tracking.
  • Strong skills in Oracle P6 project planning software.
  • Familiarity with Risk Schedule Analysis.
  • Ability to analyze EPC plans/schedules and provide deep insights into trends, issues, and mitigations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong familiarity with CPM scheduling methodology.
  • Ability to present data from a detailed to high-level depending on audience.
  • Experience with Data Center construction programs.
