About This Role

As a vital member of our team, the Group Payroll Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective payroll and finance functions.

This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, who can maintain accurate employee payroll files, process new employees, terminations, and amendments to payroll details, and ensure fortnightly payroll processing runs smoothly.

The Group Payroll Officer will be responsible for month-end and year-end payroll procedures, including preparation and distribution of standard reports and reconciliation of payroll data. They must also ensure regulatory compliance and reporting, including processing superannuation choice details, remitting superannuation payments, and providing information to government and regulatory authorities.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong attention to detail, close analytical skills, proficiency in spreadsheet software, ability to learn quickly, adapt to systems, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

About You

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. A successful candidate will have experience in payroll processing and award interpretation, human resource management, and financial record keeping.

You will have completed matriculation or school equivalent and relevant tertiary qualifications in a finance-related field. Strong communication skills are essential as you will work closely with colleagues, management, and other stakeholders to resolve queries and issues.
