Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity in Regional Australia

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a hospital-based role in the Northern Territory. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

About the Role

This position involves acute caseload work with a focus on adult patients, tailored to your experience and skills. You will have the opportunity to work in various areas, including Renal, Orthopedics, Surgery, General Medical, Emergency Department, ICU, Stroke, and Palliative Care.

The caseload is predominantly indigenous (85%), with 50% from remote communities, offering a valuable opportunity to develop your skills and experience working with diverse populations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant state or territory health department
  • A strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to work effectively in a team environment
