Merchandising Expert

The role of a Casual Merchandiser is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service. As a merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing product displays, executing tasks, building relationships with store personnel, and communicating promotional activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Product Management: Ensuring optimal product distribution, stock levels, position, and ticketing.
  • Executing tasks: Building displays, erecting point-of-sale, and negotiating off-location opportunities.
  • Negotiating and building relationships: Strong interpersonal skills are essential to build and maintain relationships with store managers and staff.
  • Communication: Accurate reporting and communication of promotional activities, planograms, and other important information.

Planogram Duties:

  • Planograms/Relays: Executions & Compliance – Ensure accurate execution of planograms and relays in-store.
  • Shelf adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to shelves to ensure products are properly displayed and facing the correct direction.
  • Stock Placement: Place stock on shelves or in designated areas to maximize visibility and availability.
  • Ticketing: Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of products.
  • Obtaining sign-off: Obtain sign-off from store personnel to confirm completion of tasks.
  • Accurate reporting: Provide regular reports on activities completed and any issues encountered.

Requirements:

  • Own Smart Device: For reporting purposes, you will need a smartphone or tablet with internet access.
  • Current State Drivers Licence: You must hold a valid driver's license and have a reliable roadworthy vehicle.
  • Full Australian working rights: You must have full working rights in Australia and be over 18 years old.
  • Physical fitness: You will need to be physically fit and able to lift and carry stock (max 16 kgs).
