The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced workshop environment, ensuring quality-driven outcomes and meeting productivity targets. They will be responsible for coordinating fabrication and machining operations, guiding their team towards excellence, and promoting a safe work environment.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise and support workshop staff to meet quality, productivity, and safety goals
- Plan and allocate daily activities effectively to meet delivery timelines and DIFOT targets
- Monitor output to ensure it aligns with industry standards
- Maintain a safe work environment and uphold WHS protocols
- Collaborate with stakeholders to foster clear communication and solve challenges
- Identify process enhancements and drive positive change through leadership and example
- Minimum 5 years of experience supervising in a fabrication or machining workshop environment
- Strong understanding of fabrication and machining processes, materials, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
- Confident in directing, supporting, and developing workshop employees
- In-depth knowledge of WHS protocols
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and data entry, including experience navigating ERP systems for production tracking and documentation
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
