Forensic Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Forensic Engineer. Our team provides expert advice on forensic engineering matters, with services including engineering, quantity surveying, and building consultancy for the insurance industry.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting and reporting on building-related matters, such as preparing causation reports on defects and damages to buildings and associated structures
  • Providing technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including insureds, the general public, builders, and insurers

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in forensic engineering (minimum 3+ years)
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Exceptional client relationship and communication skills
  • High motivation, responsibility, sound judgment, and customer focus
  • Previous experience documenting and leading diverse projects
  • The ability to perform in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing demands

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering)
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualified
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer
