Part-time Aviation Security Officer Required

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Security Officer to join our airport team.
About the RoleThis part-time, permanent position offers a minimum of 24 hours per week on a rotating roster, with flexibility to work split shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. As an Aviation Security Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers at Ballina Airport.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, staff, and baggage, ensuring compliance with aviation security regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting passengers with a professional demeanor.
- Monitor security checkpoints, oversee traffic flow, and ensure proper procedures are followed at all times.
- Perform frisk and bag searches, generate incident reports, patrol the premises, and control access to sensitive areas.
- Operate security technology, including metal detectors and X-ray machines.
- Nationally Recognised Security License.
- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) clearance or ability to obtain.
- Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) & Certificate II in Security Operations.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Current Driver license.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, and maintain strong customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings, national police checks, and medical assessments.
