Specialist Support Teacher - Secondary Level Education

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Support Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge to provide specialist assistance to students and teachers in regular classes with additional learning and support needs.

The successful applicant will be highly developed in interpersonal, administration, communication, and organisational skills to build positive relationships with teachers, school support staff, students, and parents.

They will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students. This includes supporting students with learning and support needs at the secondary level and working collaboratively with other educators to develop and implement curriculum programs.

The role requires an unconditional full approval to teach and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist assistance to students and teachers in regular classes with additional learning and support needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum programs that cater to diverse student needs
  • Support students with learning and support needs at the secondary level
  • Build positive relationships with teachers, school support staff, students, and parents
Requirements:
