Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to join our team at Queensland Health. This is a fixed-term temporary full-time position for 9 months, responsible for delivering key business improvement and systems projects within the Banking and Payment Services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan and coordinate the delivery of projects, ensuring solutions are responsive to stakeholders' requirements and needs.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication and foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Business Improvement: Identify and analyze problems, develop and implement strategies, and exercise initiative and responsibility to drive business improvement.
  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain key project documentation and governance for the projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate as an effective team member and work collaboratively with other team members, multidisciplinary personnel, and stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
  • Project Management Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and effectively deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality work for multiple stakeholders.
  • Business Improvement Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of business improvement and project management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated consultative, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively function individually or in a high-performing team.
  • Qualifications and Registrations: While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
