Are you a process expert with mine site experience? We're seeking a professional to play a key role in our new owner-operated Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) venture. This pivotal opportunity presents a chance to shape the future of coal processing at our mine.
As a CHPP Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance. Your daily duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough plant inspections to identify defects and safety risks
• Oversee and execute production plans to meet throughput, quality, and delivery targets
• Monitor and optimize plant and rail performance to improve efficiency
• Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and technical teams to align operational priorities and maintain plant availability
• Prepare and deliver shift reports, production data, and performance KPIs
• Support the implementation of improvement initiatives across safety, production, and cost control
• Provide leadership and mentoring to operators to foster a high-performing team culture
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous mine site experience, preferably within fixed plant (CHPP) operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in production or maintenance planning, including resource coordination and scheduling
- Proven commitment to safety, with sound knowledge of safe work practices
- Understanding of train loading operations and interface with rail scheduling systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Project, and exposure to Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act
