About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dam Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As a key member of our Dams and Tailings team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-profile dams projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical leadership and expertise on dams projects, including design, construction, and operation;
  • Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions;
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles;
  • Participating in business development activities to identify new opportunities and grow our client base;
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure we are delivering innovative and effective solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in dams engineering, preferably with a focus on geotechnical, structural, and/or design management skills;
  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) or higher qualifications;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of dam types, including embankment and concrete dams;
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical engineers;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels;
  • A strong understanding of industry trends and best practices, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
