MployHR is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join their Pinkenba warehouse team.

Your primary focus will be on leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all aspects of the warehouse's functions.

You will play a crucial role in managing inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Additionally, you will be tasked with fostering a positive and productive work environment while enforcing company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and direct the store team in all aspects of warehousing.
  • Operate high-reach forklift.
  • Communicate with the Dispatch Coordinator on issues and delays.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of your team.
  • Organize and stage outbound loads for efficient turnaround time of outbound trucks.
  • Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Report damage or property damage immediately.
  • Communicate with management and other departments.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing/directing a small team.
  • High-reach forklift experience and forklift license.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to deal with HR issues – not afraid of facing conflict head-on.
  • A good understanding of warehouse and distribution functions, including shipment receipts, stocktakes, and dispatch.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound time management and organizational skills.
  • Foster an environment and culture where safety is a leading value and critical in all activities.
  • A "continual improvement" mindset.
