Medical Records Officer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Records Officer to join our team. As a Medical Records Officer, you will be responsible for protecting the privacy of patients and carers by releasing information in accordance with The Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.

The key objective of the medical records team is to safeguard patient confidentiality while providing access to authorized individuals or organizations as permitted by law and NSW Health policies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing requests for information from patients, third parties, and hospital executives
  • Releasing copies of medical records, medical reports, statements of attendance, deceased paperwork processing, summaries of injury, and expert witness statements as directed under current legislation and NSW Health policies
