Maternal Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maternal and Child Health professional to deliver high-quality services to our community.
- Develop and implement maternal and child health programs based on the Key Age and Stage Service Activity Framework.
- Monitor maternal and family health, providing advice, information, support, and referrals as necessary.
- Assist with outreach services across different locations within the municipality.
- Maintain accurate records and data using CDIS according to Department of Health guidelines.
- Participate in the Child and Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme.
- Ensure centre safety, cleaning, and maintenance requirements are met.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, and a qualification in Maternal and Child Health nursing (Postgraduate or higher).
- Sound knowledge of MCH service delivery, including the Key Ages and Stages Framework.
- Ability to develop parenting and health education group programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of working with vulnerable families and referral processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and contribute effectively to the team.
- Skills in documentation of casework and statistical data compilation.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, including basic counselling skills.
- A commitment to continuity of care and maintaining the integrity of the model.
