
Culturally Safe Cancer Care Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead a new initiative focused on enhancing culturally safe cancer care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our region.
This part-time position will play a key role in designing, implementing, and evaluating strategies that improve access, experience, and outcomes for patients and families. The successful candidate will work closely with Aboriginal communities, health professionals, and cancer services to drive lasting change in care delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of culturally safe cancer care initiatives
- Collaborating with Aboriginal communities and health professionals to develop and implement effective strategies
- Managing project activities, timelines, and stakeholder engagement
- Monitoring outcomes related to access, experience, and patient/family results; reporting on progress and impact
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, community engagement, or cancer care, as well as a commitment to health equity and working with Aboriginal communities. A relevant degree and/or certifications in a related field would be an advantage.
