About the Role

The Mechanical Reliability Specialist will utilize their technical expertise to analyze and optimize equipment performance. You will be investigating equipment reliability issues to root cause and implementing corrective actions while scoping and implementing small value capital expenditure projects and taking a point of responsibility role on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Collaborating with the Mechanical department to drive reliability improvement for the plants.
  2. Managing maintenance and capital projects to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  3. Leading Mechanical-based improvement projects to enhance overall efficiency.
  4. Supporting and supervising Maintenance Shutdown tasks to minimize downtime.
  5. Providing technical support to the Maintenance Department during extended absences of colleagues or the Maintenance Superintendent.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience in maintenance management systems and heavy manufacturing maintenance.
  3. Proven budgetary and project management skills.
  4. A track record of problem-solving and equipment diagnostics.
  5. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  6. Proficiency in SAP maintenance systems and Microsoft applications.
