About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Perth.

Our company is a highly regarded engineering consultancy servicing projects across Australia, specialising in electrical, instrumentation, control systems and project management services to the mining, mineral processing and infrastructure industries.

The successful candidate will have experience in designing, constructing, commissioning and optimising brownfield and greenfield mining, materials handling, mineral processing and port facilities across multiple commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for complex industrial processes
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on control systems and instrumentation to clients and stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in Australian Iron Ore mining projects/operations
  • Demonstrated experience working in a project environment for either a systems integrator, OEM or an EPCM
  • Relevant PLC programming experience (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, GE/Emerson)
  • Relevant SCADA programming experience (e.g. Citect, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, Cimplicity)
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and develop control systems designs
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good organisational, time management and decision-making capabilities
