Senior Inventory Planner Position

Hype DC, a leading sneaker retailer, is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join their Planning and Buying team. This key position ensures the right products are in the right place at the right time, driving sales and profitability across all channels.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning or inventory management, with strong analytical and numerical skills. They must be commercially savvy with a deep understanding of retail Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and financial levers.
- Partnering with the Buying team to develop seasonal merchandise plans and range frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Managing Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets and ensuring stock levels match sales forecasts and promotional calendars.
- Analyzing sales, margin, and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Developing allocation and replenishment strategies that maximize sell-through and minimize markdowns.
- Forecasting future sales and stock needs based on historical performance, trends, and market conditions.
- Monitoring product lifecycle and making recommendations on markdowns, reorders, or exit strategies.
- Providing regular reporting and insights to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
