Job Title: Production Operator/Cheesemaker

About this role:
A great opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Production Operator/Cheesemaker to join our team at our Jindivick (Victoria 3818) plant. Reporting to the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing duties of a manual nature, including fresh ingredient preparation, mixing, general cleaning and cheese making.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties of manual nature, including fresh ingredient preparation, mixing, general cleaning and cheese making.
  • Plan and organise own work tasks, sorting out priorities and monitoring own performance.
  • Meet scheduling outcomes, identify and report issues affecting work outcomes.
  • Maintain health and safety work area for self and others.
  • Follow quality control procedures, inspect quality of work on an ongoing basis and accept responsibility for quality of their own work.
  • Maintain food safety and GMP standards.
  • Operation of supplied equipment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in food manufacturing industry, specifically in production area.
  • Desirable experience in dairy products.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility for working in rotating Monday to Sunday roster and for overtime.
  • Physically fit for labour-intensive hands-on work.
  • Hygiene standards knowledge and experience.
