Role Overview:

The Director of AI Data Science will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for our AI and data science practices, focusing on scaling capabilities and delivering impactful solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in building forecasting and predictive models, particularly focusing on promotions, customer retention, growth, and marketing technology (MarTech).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Science Initiatives: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for our AI and data science practices, focusing on scaling capabilities and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Forecasting & Predictive Modeling: Design, implement, and refine advanced forecasting and predictive models, with a strong emphasis on promotions, customer retention, growth, and marketing technology (MarTech).
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a high-performing data science team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to integrate data-driven insights into business strategies and decisions.
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Utilize data insights to inform and influence key business decisions, with a focus on optimizing customer engagement and maximizing ROI on promotional activities.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI and data science, ensuring our practices remain cutting-edge and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in establishing and scaling AI and data science practices, with significant experience in forecasting and predictive modeling.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in developing models related to promotions, customer retention, growth, and martech. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and data science tools (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a data science team, with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical Acumen: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Education: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
