Occupational Therapist Job in Victoria, Australia

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Victoria, Australia. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality therapy services and making a real impact in the lives of clients.

About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of therapy services to assess function and capacity and provide therapy programs to both children and adults with development challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic services to a range of designated NDIS participants utilizing a strength-based service model.
  • Coordinate the delivery of therapy services to assess function and capacity and provide therapy programs to both children and adults with development challenges.
  • Conduct assessments and work with practitioners and participants to contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the therapeutic plan as appropriate to the circumstances and needs of the individual participant.
  • Conduct home visits and visits to the community as required.
  • Refer to and liaise with other medical and allied health professionals as required.
  • Coach, advise, and provide on-the-job support to team members and carers to improve their skills and knowledge in the areas of developmental milestone development and evidence-based interventions and practice to improve participant outcomes.
  • Plan, develop, and facilitate or co-facilitate therapeutic therapy programs for participants and other stakeholders internal and external to the organization relating to specialization.
  • Attend review meetings, case conferences, and other meetings and ensure all documentation and notes are saved to Case Manager.
  • Work with other Allied Health Professionals to build capability across the team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and effective complaint management, escalating to the regional manager as appropriate.
  • Document and create reports on participant services using technology and paper-based systems in a clear, logical, understandable, and timely way.
