Conveyor Belt Maintenance Technician

A unique opportunity has arisen to join a team of professionals working on key projects across Western Australia. As a Conveyor Belt Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for developing skills in conveyor belt maintenance, repairs, installations, general maintenance, and replacement of conveyor components.

This is a chance for you to develop yourself professionally and personally and secure a working future in the industry.

The role offers a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Polymer Processing), fully paid for by the employer. You will also earn a full time income whilst you learn and receive a formal trade qualification.

Guaranteed exposure to major West Australian mining sites and projects, as well as guaranteed ongoing full time permanent employment once you have completed the traineeship.

Mandatory Trainee Requirements
  • Must have a strong safety focus;
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old;
  • Must hold a current Australian drivers licence;
  • Must not be banned from any WA mine sites;
  • Be willing to complete an aptitude testing as part of the Trainee recruitment process to demonstrate mechanical aptitude, sound communication and numerical skills;
  • Have the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
  • Have the ability to work with project/site operational requirements (which may see you working after hours, weekends and/or public holidays);
  • Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
Optional Trainee Requirements
  • High risk work licenses in Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, Dogging or Rigging;
  • HR Drivers License;
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or mining;
  • Trade qualification.
