The Key Responsibilities:

  • Belt picking (as needed), identifying and sorting materials
  • Traffic control within the yard (as required)
  • Operating machinery (forklifts, excavators, etc.) (as required)
  • Container loading for transport and export
  • General yard duties and housekeeping
  • Ensuring customers receive high-quality service
  • Grading and sorting materials
  • Assisting downstream shredding operations

The Requirements:

  • Forklift license
  • Ability to work independently
  • A can-do attitude, open to undertaking training to diversify skills
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic and a safety-first approach
  • Someone who leads with accountability and initiative
  • Flexibility to jump into a range of tasks each day
  • Experience in a metal recycling or heavy industrial environment (desired)
