We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and cooking of various Indian dishes from the Tandoor and Curry sections.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, with at least 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen. They will also possess excellent knowledge of tandoori cuisine, including all tikkas, kebabs, naan, and rotis.

In addition to their culinary skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. They will also be passionate about serving authentic Indian cuisine of excellent standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff">
  • Maintain stock rotation, food safety, and minimize waste">
  • Contribute to planning menus and estimating food and labor costs">
  • Organize supplies of the restaurant, including dairy, meat, vegetables, and other groceries">

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Cookery & Hospitality">
  • At least 2 years of culinary experience in Indian cuisine in a commercial kitchen">
  • Strong knowledge of tandoori cuisine, including all tikkas, kebabs, naan, and rotis">
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills">
  • Possession of a valid Australian Visa (Subclass 482 sponsorship available)">
