Mixed Practice Clinician Job Opportunity

Are you a dedicated veterinary professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Practice Clinician to join our team.

This is a full-time, continuing position that offers the chance to utilize your clinical skills, improve your work-life balance, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people and animals. You will be responsible for providing veterinary clinical services and teaching within our School's Production Animal Service Team.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide health and wellness exams, vaccinations, disease prevention measures, primary or secondary opinion consultations, diagnostic work-ups, veterinary treatment, and surgical procedures
  • Participate in clinical and pre-clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as clinical training of interns and residents

You will need to have a degree in Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be registerable in Queensland. Relevant experience in the delivery of veterinary clinical services in production animal practice and demonstrated advanced clinical level performance are essential.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to education and effective interpersonal, teamwork, negotiation, and consultation skills. They must also have formal written and oral communication skills, unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

  • This role offers a base salary range of $93,254.55 to $101,680.96 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%
