Job Overview

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of data products.

The Product Manager will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to a team of product owners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet user needs and business objectives.

The role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business needs and technology constraints. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex programs with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage product owners across the program
  • Deliver outcomes by leveraging people, tech, data, law, and policy
  • Modernise ASIC registers, data, and user interfaces per One ASIC principles
  • Prioritise delivery of Director and data features based on user needs and feasibility
  • Represent user data needs to ensure consumer-focused product design
  • Enhance UX using data insights to drive engagement and measurable impact
  • Collaborate with ASIC teams and partners to deliver quality products
  • Advise on UX, UI, and accessibility design
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as business or communications
  • Background in IT, business, or communications with product and change management expertise
  • Proven delivery of complex, enterprise-wide programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of ASIC's strategy and operating model
  • Skilled in leveraging ASIC's IT infrastructure to improve processes
  • Effective influencer across all organisational levels
  • Able to bridge business needs and technology constraints
  • Strong decision-making in high-pressure, competing priority environments
  • Balanced focus on business and IT strategy, automation, and service delivery
  • Experienced in managing people, process, and behavioural change initiatives
