About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is for a Wellbeing Peer Navigator to join our team in Victoria, where you will play a vital role in contributing to major mental health reform. As a peer worker, you will draw on your lived experience to deliver intentional peer support and empower participants to achieve their goals.

  • You will work collaboratively with participants to develop personalized service navigation and care plans, tailored to their individual strengths and needs.
  • You will facilitate peer-led groups and provide opportunities for participants to share their experiences and connect with others.
  • You will support capacity-building initiatives that recognize and build on individual strengths and capabilities.
  • You will collaborate with clinical staff to ensure that participants receive a holistic approach to their care, with their needs and preferences at the forefront.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Intentional Peer Support to empower participants on their recovery journey.
  • Provide personalized one-to-one service navigation and care planning.
  • Facilitate peer-led groups.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Personal experience of mental distress and accessing and navigating health services.
  • Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work or willingness to complete.
  • 1+ year relevant work experience in a peer worker role.
  • National Police Check.
  • Current Working with Children Check-employment.
  • NDIS Workers Screening check.
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia.
  • 100 points of identification.
  • NDIS Workers Orientation module certificate - free online course.
