About the Role:This exciting opportunity is for a Wellbeing Peer Navigator to join our team in Victoria, where you will play a vital role in contributing to major mental health reform. As a peer worker, you will draw on your lived experience to deliver intentional peer support and empower participants to achieve their goals.
- You will work collaboratively with participants to develop personalized service navigation and care plans, tailored to their individual strengths and needs.
- You will facilitate peer-led groups and provide opportunities for participants to share their experiences and connect with others.
- You will support capacity-building initiatives that recognize and build on individual strengths and capabilities.
- You will collaborate with clinical staff to ensure that participants receive a holistic approach to their care, with their needs and preferences at the forefront.
- Deliver Intentional Peer Support to empower participants on their recovery journey.
- Provide personalized one-to-one service navigation and care planning.
- Facilitate peer-led groups.
- Support capacity-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical staff.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Personal experience of mental distress and accessing and navigating health services.
- Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work or willingness to complete.
- 1+ year relevant work experience in a peer worker role.
- National Police Check.
- Current Working with Children Check-employment.
- NDIS Workers Screening check.
- Evidence of right to work in Australia.
- 100 points of identification.
- NDIS Workers Orientation module certificate - free online course.
