Court Operations Specialist

As a key member of the Court of Appeal team, you will support the Judicial Registrar, Deputy Registrars and Senior Registry Officers in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the registry.
Your duties will include:
- Executing legal, administrative and quasi-judicial functions under limited supervision to contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Court of Appeal registry
- Assessing written correspondence from internal staff and external court users, and either responding, processing or forwarding this correspondence where appropriate
- Managing and maintaining the Court's computerized case management system, statistical records, Excel spreadsheets and manual filing systems
- Providing guidance to court users about operations, policies, procedures, rules and legislation relevant to the Court of Appeal via telephone, at the front counter or in writing
- Contributing towards the overall improvement of the registry by teaching, supporting and supervising staff in their learning and development, and suggesting improvements to practices and procedures where appropriate
- Supervising registry and/or administration officers
- Liaising closely and effectively with the Judicial Registrar, Deputy Registrars, judicial staff and other staff of the Court
To be successful in this role, you will require good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
