Senior Lawyer, Regulatory Reform Unit

A highly skilled Senior Lawyer is sought to join our newly formed Regulatory Reform Unit. This rare opportunity allows the successful candidate to contribute to leading legal aspects of significant legislative projects.

About The Role

The Regulatory Reform Unit has been established to drive the legal aspects of substantial legislation initiatives, including the implementation of proposals to enhance child safety in early childhood services in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers and project directors to respond to emerging issues promptly and effectively.
  • Engage proactively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies to support the successful delivery of legislative projects.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with senior executives, ministers' offices, government agencies, and other relevant entities.

The Senior Lawyer will play a vital role in developing, managing, and implementing significant legislative projects, including primary legislation and subordinate instruments, and provide expert legal advice on related legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
