Midwifery Career Development Opportunity

This program will provide you with a supportive environment to learn, develop and consolidate your clinical skills in midwifery. As a midwifery student at Northern Beaches Hospital, you will be part of a team that values quality and safety above all else.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Registered Nurse with minimum 1 year full-time experience in an acute care setting
  • Concurrent enrolment in a Diploma of Midwifery University program at UTS or WSU
  • Ability to undertake part-time employment of FTE 0.84, 8 and 12 hr shifts on a 7-day rotating roster
  • Understanding of the role of a midwife within a primary healthcare framework
  • Demonstrated ability in clinical problem-solving
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of, and ability to work within a team
