Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Platforms

This role is ideal for a seasoned DevOps engineer who can bridge the gap between infrastructure and data platform requirements. The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with data engineers, architects, and analysts to design, build, and maintain cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Data Platform team to design, build, and maintain infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support data services, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
  • Mentor and guide DevOps and Data Platform team members on automation, tooling, and best practices.
  • Assess and build new monitoring capabilities for both on-premises and cloud-hosted data environments.
  • Design and implement automation solutions using Terraform, PowerShell, Unix scripting, and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Manage the creation and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Git, GitHub Actions).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a DevOps engineering role, ideally with experience supporting data platform or analytics environments.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, SDLC principles, and automation.
  • Experience with AWS hosting, security, and networking, including transit gateways.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
