Senior Commercial Specialist Job Description

This role plays a crucial part in supporting all commercial aspects of contracts and relationships for the SSN-AUKUS program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing commercial advice to ensure contract deliverables are met.
  • Leading contract administration tasks to adhere to the program schedule and quality reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to manage commercial outcomes.
  • Communicating program risks, commercial obligations, and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Implementing lessons learned from completed projects to establish us as a learning organization.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a complex commercial setting.
  • A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in a commercial, legal, or business advisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing complex contracts, including resolving difficult issues to achieve positive commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in drafting agreements and managing commercial risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities with limited direction, and build strong business relationships.
