Job Title:
Educational Program Coordinator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced educational program coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging after-school care and vacation care programs for primary school-aged children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and deliver age-appropriate after-school care and vacation care programs for primary school-aged children.
  • Prepare engaging activities that support the children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Prepare and serve food and snacks in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Engage with children, providing guidance and support to encourage social interaction, creative play, and skill development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
  • Facilitate opportunities for planned and spontaneous play to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment that supports children's engagement and safety.
  • Monitor and report any concerns related to children's welfare, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
  • Comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including child protection and OOSH program standards.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an OOSH or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and ability to design age-appropriate activities.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and fostering a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene procedures relevant to childcare.
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
