Overview

">Role Summary:
Senior registrars play a pivotal role in our healthcare system, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.

Responsibilities


- Provide surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care, for patients with melanoma and surgical oncology needs.- Undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and research- Involvement in MDT meetings for sarcoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, melanoma, and thyroid cancer- Participation in the roster for on-call duty for the Acute Surgical Unit.

Professional Development


- Maintain quality in all aspects of service delivery- Efficient use of resources within Western Sydney Local Health District- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing- Sound clinical knowledge and experience in general surgery/head and neck surgery/surgical oncology

Requirements


MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of AustraliaMust have obtained fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalentHigh level interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary teamExperience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practiceCommitment to teaching and supervisionFamiliarity with research concepts
