Job Title: Building Quality Officer - Lead the Way in Design Excellence

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Building Quality Officer to lead our team in delivering high-quality built outcomes for the WA community. As a key member of our Buildings and Contracts Branch, you will provide technical leadership to in-house teams, private sector professionals, and external client agencies on design, building quality, standards, tender documentation, and evaluation of State Government's non-residential building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice, building design, and documentation reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and government policies.
  • Manage and coordinate review processes, including post-occupancy evaluations, to ensure buildings meet required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan, deliver, and maintain appropriate quality non-residential Government buildings.
  • Develop and implement technical guidelines and briefs to support building design and construction.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in architectural design, with experience in managing and coordinating review processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to motivate and enable others to deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure effective delivery of projects.
