OSHC Educator Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team of educators who work with children in an out-of-school hours care (OSHC) setting.

This role requires a valid paid Working with Children Check and current First Aid and CPR certification. Experience working with children in an education setting is desired but not required. Essential skills include a positive attitude, patience, and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Fostering a rich play environment that aligns with the Framework for School Age Care - My Time, Our Place.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Actively supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
  2. Create a warm, caring, and collaborative environment for all children attending the service.
  3. Orient new children to the service, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
  4. Fulfil duties associated with mandatory reporting guidelines in line with the Child Protection legislation and the service's policies.
Additional Duties:
  1. Follow all Before and After School Care and Vacation Care routines, completing duties in line with the daily duties listing and additional as requested.
  2. Co-operate and work collaboratively with families, ensuring regular communication and ensuring that families feel comfortable and encouraged to become involved in the service.
