Job Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified academic to join our team in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, implementation, and delivery of units in the suite of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Psychology Courses within the School, as well as engaging in research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and manage online and face-to-face content, lectures, tutorials, and assessments for psychology courses.
  • Convene accredited psychology courses in Australia, ensuring high-quality learning outcomes.
  • Engage in research, including research grants and peer-reviewed publications, to enhance the School's reputation.
  • Supervise Honours students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
Requirements
  • A PhD or equivalent tertiary qualifications in Psychology, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional teaching skills, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching experiences.
  • Demonstrated innovation in pedagogical teaching practice, incorporating cutting-edge methodologies.
  • Experience in teaching psychology units in accredited programs in Australia, showcasing subject matter expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in, and/or with the teaching of, applied and/or translational research skills in psychological sciences, enhancing the School's research capacity.
  • Ability to contribute to teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate accredited psychology programs, offering flexibility and adaptability.
