Senior Academic in Psychology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic to join our team of educators and researchers in the field of psychology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in psychology, as well as contributing to research and academic leadership within the School.

  • Develop and deliver high-quality learning materials and assessments for undergraduate and postgraduate students;
  • Contribute to the development of new courses and programs in psychological sciences;
  • Engage in scholarly research and publish in reputable journals;
  • Supervise honours and higher degree by research students;
  • Participate in school and faculty committees and contribute to decision-making processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD or equivalent qualification in psychology;
  • Registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency;
  • Exceptional teaching skills and ability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching;
  • Demonstrated innovation in pedagogical teaching practice;
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching in accredited psychology programs in Australia;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Evidence of successful delivery to diverse student cohorts.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching applied and translational research skills in psychological sciences;
  • Able to contribute to teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate accredited psychology programs.
