
Culvert Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culvert Inspector and Risk Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure inspection group, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of drainage pits and culverts, assessing their condition, and identifying potential risks.
Your work will involve project planning and management, contractor coordination, site inspections, and reporting. You will also be responsible for performing risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, documenting inspection findings, and preparing reports.
You will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including councils, contractors, and state road authorities, to prioritize and plan maintenance and repair activities. Ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards is also an essential aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of drainage pits and culverts
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Document inspection findings and prepare reports
- Collaborate with clients to prioritize and plan maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
- TfNSW Culvert Inspection and Risk Assessment qualification - Essential
- Qualifications in civil/structural engineering, engineering technology, or a relevant trade background
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
