Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Risk and Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks across the organisation. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will take ownership of building and embedding a proactive risk and compliance culture.

About the Role

  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organisation-wide risk and compliance framework.
  • Act as the AML/CTF Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to AUSTRAC obligations and best practice in customer due diligence and transaction monitoring.
  • Oversee compliance with liquor, gaming, and club licensing requirements, engaging with regulators such as Liquor & Gaming NSW.
  • Partner with IT and Privacy functions to strengthen cyber and information security oversight.
  • Drive internal/external audits, contractor/vendor compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor an organisation-wide risk and compliance framework.
  2. Act as AML/CTF Compliance Officer and ensure adherence to AUSTRAC obligations.
  3. Engage with regulators for liquor, gaming, and club licensing requirements.
  4. Strengthen cyber and information security oversight through partnership with IT and Privacy functions.
  5. Drive internal/external audits and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

  • 8-15+ years' experience in risk, compliance, or regulatory roles in clubs, gaming, hospitality, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC reporting, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High integrity, strong analytical mindset, and hands-on approach.
