Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our dedicated Risk and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and compliance, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective frameworks tailored to the education sector.

A successful applicant must have experience working in a school or educational environment, with a strong understanding of child protection laws, Working With Children Checks, duty of care obligations, and student welfare standards.

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with curriculum and educational standards, privacy obligations, and records management requirements. They will also provide training and guidance to staff on policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining risk management and compliance frameworks tailored to the education sector
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Monitoring compliance with curriculum and educational standards, privacy obligations, and records management requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar risk and compliance role within a school or educational environment (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of education-specific regulatory and WHS requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation
